Kate Winslet and husband Ned Rocknroll have received and early Christmas present as the The Reader star gave birth to their first child together.
The couple welcomed a 9lb baby boy on Saturday (December 7) at an NHS hospital in Sussex County, UK. A spokeswoman for Winslet told the Mail Online that the new parents were “thrilled to bits” and that mother and baby were “doing great”.
This is the first child for Rocknroll. Winslet has two children – Mia, 12 and Joe, 9 – from her previous marriages: Jim Threapleton and Skyfall director Sam Mendes, respectively.
Winslet and Rocknroll, who is Virgin mogul Richard Branson’s nephew, married in December 2012 and announced in June that they were expecting.
