British actress, Kaya Scodelario is set to join the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, the fifth film in the highly popular franchise.
She will be joining Johnny Depp who will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, and Brenton Thwaites. Orlando Bloom who played Will Turner in the first three films is also in talks to rejoin the franchise.
Produce Jerry Bruckheimer made the announcement using his twitter account saying that:
Pleased to announce that we cast Kaya Scodelario for the 5th Pirates of the Caribbean. Talented young actor from Skins & The Maze Runner.

Scodelario shot to film stardom with her role in The Maze Runner, but she is best remembered for playing Nicholas Hoult’s younger sister, Effy Stonem, in the highly popular British teenage seriesSkins. She then went on to appear in more episodes than any other cast member.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will start filming in Queensland, Australia on February 2015. The movie is slated for release on July 7, 2017.
