Keanu Reeves on Bill and Ted 3: ‘It Needs to Be Adapted’

NULL

Morgaine Craven

Staff Writer

Keanu Reeves has revealed that although the script for Bill and Ted 3 has been written, it needs to be edited to fit budget restrictions.

The current script, containing monsters and time travel, is very CGI heavy, Reeves said, and would cost too much to make.

“The script is funny and there’s a story to tell there, [but] it needs to be adapted because right now it would cost, you know, $400 million to make,” he told Access Hollywood. “There’s a rift in the universe and there’s all sorts of creatures. [And CGI], it ain’t cheap!”

The Matrix star has spoken previously about his role as Ted, telling Vanity Fair that “he loves speaking about him” and that “those characters in those films, they were great times to make and close to my heart and I loved those stories.”
