Kendrick Lamar To Be First Musical Guest On Stephen Colbert’s Late Show

After announcing his first guest would be George Clooney, Stephen Colbert has confirmed that his first musical guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will be rapper Kendrick Lamar.

The news came during the Television Critics Association Press Tour on Monday (August 10). It is fitting, as Lamar was the last musical act to perform on The Colbert Report last year. He won two Grammys this past year, one for his song “i” and for best rap performance.

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert premieres on September 8th.
