Kesha Has A New Tune Online Called “Lover”

With Kesha getting over her issues and currently working on her comeback, there’s a new experimental track of hers online, “Lover”.

Kesha hasn’t released any new music recently, apart from that super-forced collaboration with Pitbull, “Timber”. After rehab visits and legal battles with producer Dr. Luke, the songstress is currently preparing her comeback slowly but steadily. As it seems, we’ve got a brand-new song to give us a preview of what is to come.

“Lover” has been online for around three months now, as part of a free collection by Spookey Ruben, Welsh Rarebits. The track perfectly mixes alternative sounds with electronic bits, being an experimental kind of tune. It’s refreshing indeed and would really have great potential with a more reworked production. The promising demo, penned by Kesha herself, is obviously unfinished. Most probably, it’s an early result of a creative process in the studio with lots of experimentation taking place.

If anything, “Lover” sounds like nothing Kesha has previously offered. Her singing style is also part of the change. Even though she still makes use of electronic effects, she’s not over-autotuned and perfectly shows off her falsetto with those vocal up and downs. If it’s anything to judge from, the sound of her upcoming record is going to be far different from the one we’re used to. Give it a listen below.
