This is bad.
Detailed in a new lawsuit, pop star Kesha is suing her longtime producer (of 10 years) Dr. Luke for sexual assault and battery.
There are also claims of verbal and emotional abuse.
In the documents, Kesha’s legal team is saying that Luke was abusive from the beginning, and that he forced drugs and alcohol on her. She would have been 18 at the time.
Kesha is saying that the longtime abuse led to her eating disorder, saying that Luke would blast her on occasion, uttering the words:
“You are not that pretty, you are not that talented, you are just lucky to have me”.
He would also call her a “fat f***ing refrigerator”.
Now the physical allegations.
Kesha’s lawsuit is detailing that Luke attacked her once, at his Malibu home, and she fled barefoot from his residence.
The sexual assault claims come from a detailed story of him offering her pills and then forcing himself on her while they were on a plane.
Kesha is asking a judge to let her out of her contract with Luke.
However, it didn’t take long for Luke’s legal team to fire back, and they have.
His team is slamming her allegations, saying that she is trying to extort money from him and making up stories just to get out of the contract. Luke’s legal team have counter sued Kesha for extortion.
It didn’t take long for Kesha’s team to respond.
They are firing back at Luke’s maneuver calling it “pathetic” with lawyer Mark Geragos sounding off against the counter:
“This is just another pathetic and entirely predictable example of Dr. Luke’s continued abuse and a misguided attempt to keep Kesha under his tyrannical control,”
“This lawsuit has absolutely no basis in fact, the law or reality. Kesha is focused on reclaiming her voice and her freedom. She is determined to move on with her life and her career by putting this dark period behind her.”
