Kevin Richardson, well known as one of the five members of the Backstreet Boys, has recently spoken to Access Hollywood about his reasons for leaving the band.
Richardson left the band in 2006 in order to take time away and to start a family with his wife.
“I didn’t have anything left in the tank,” Richardson said. “In 2006, there were some things I wanted to do in my own life and start a family and be normal for a while… I didn’t feel inspired.”
The singer returned to the band in 2012 and is featured on their newest album In A World Like This.
On his return, he added, “Now, recently I felt inspired and wanted to create again and make music again.”
Kevin and his wife Kristin recently welcomed their second baby boy, Maxwell Haze Richardson.
The Backstreet Boys are currently on tour which is due to last through October of 2013.
