A kind police officer from St. Louis, Missouri has taken a young boy who witnessed his mother’s murder out on a shopping spree.
The young boy , five year old Jakeem Brown, was in the backseat of a car when his mother Whitney Brown and a companion Devon Fletcher were shot and killed on the night of August 12 in St. Louis , Missouri.
Jakeem is now under the care of his grandmother, Erica Jones, who praised the police officer for what he did.
‘You just don’t find too many people that are going to be willing to help somebody especially when (they’re) going through tragedy.’ Jones said ‘Him and Jakeem made a great bond, they got shirts made together and everything. (Jakeem) cried when he left, because he didn’t want to leave.’
Jones also revealed that the the police officer bought Jakeem a pair of sneakers, a jacket and school supplies. On top of his kindness, the police officer seemed not to want attention for what he did. He asked to remain anonymous.
Now that is the kind of cop or person the world needs. We salute you, sir!
