Broken Ribs For “Kings of Leon” Drummer Lead To Tour Date Postponement

Nathan Followill, the drummer for the rock band “Kings Of Leon” suffered a rib injury during a tour bus crash in New York.

Those who were looking forward to a Kings of Leon tour last night (August 10) in Saratoga Springs, NY had some bad news in the form of a postponement, though the details behind it are even sadder.

Unfortunately, drummer Nathan Followill is suffering from a couple broken ribs due to a bus accident the day prior (August 9). A statement regarding the incident on the band’s Facebook account better accentuates the entire situation:

“Due to an accident on their tour bus, Kings of Leon will unfortunately have to postpone tonight’s show in Saratoga Springs, NY. The band was en route to their hotel after their show in Boston when a pedestrian jumped in front of their tour bus, causing the bus to stop short, injuring Nathan Followill.”

“Nathan is being treated for broken ribs, but is doing well. The band will postpone the show that was planned for tonight August 10th, until further notice. Refunds for ticket holders will be available at point of purchase.”

As unfortunate as it is for a highly-anticipated tour date to be postponed until further notice, it’s even more unfortunate that Nathan had to have such an injury. The band is currently set to open for Jay Z during his “Made In America” tour at the end of this month, so here’s to Nathan recovering long before then!
