Rejoice animation lovers, your favorite karate chopping panda is coming back! This time, he’s bringing some pretty awesome friends! DreamWorks confirmed the third installment in July of 2012 as well as confirming the return of Jack Black, Angelia Jolie, and Seth Rogen. Earlier this week, we got even better news! Joining the original voice stars in some PANDAmonium would be Bryan Cranston, Mads Mikkelsen, and Rebel Wilson.
The production staff is also coming back for some fun! Jennifer Yuh Nelson, who directed Kung Fu Panda 2, will reprise her role. Along with executive producer Guillermo del Torro, producer Melissa Cobb, co-producer Jeffrey Hermann, and let’s not forget writers and co-producers Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger.
No word yet on an exact plot, DreamWorks only had this to say about the film “ (it) follows Po, the chosen one, as he continues on his journey mastering the art of Kung Fu … and noodle slurping.” The film is set to be released December 23, 2015. It will be the first of the series to be disturbed by 20th Century Fox and also the first co-production with China-based Oriental DreamWorks.
