La Roux Announces Sophomore Album And New Single “Let Me Down Gently”

London “synth-popper” Elly Jackson, known as La Roux, posted a teaser clip last Thursday (May 8) on Instagram of some new music to be released soon:

Her sophomore album will be coming out July 7^th on Polydor and is a self-produced work.

The new album is entitled Trouble in Paradise.

La Roux premiered her first new track on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show. The track, “Let Me Down Gently”, starts off slowly with electronic beats and buzzes, and then transitions into dance music.

La Roux has also announced dates for UK and North American tours.
