Who can believe that it’s already time to start talking about Christmas TV specials??? Well there are only 70 days until the Big Day.
Following her hit ABC special in 2011, A Very Gaga Thanksgiving, it appears that the Mother Monster is turning her attention to another holiday and like the Thanksgiving special, she’s bringing some friends along to help her celebrate… the Muppets.
According to E! Online, the “Applause” singer recently shot the ABC special while she was in Los Angeles. However, that’s all that has been released so far.
Gaga and the Muppets go way back. In 2009, she was escorted to the MTV Video Music Awards by the always dashing Kermit the Frog. As part of 2010’s Monster Ball tour, pieces were created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. Gaga also famously wore an outfit made entirely of plush Kermit toys during an appearance on German television.
Photo courtesy of the Daily MailIt’s also not the first time that Gaga has shared the screen with the Muppets, though hopefully the Christmas special will have a better outcome than the previous outing. Gaga filmed a cameo for the 2011 The Muppets movie, starring Jason Segel and Amy Adams. This was to be her movie debut, but, like so many other movie cameos, her scenes ended up on the cutting room floor due to the fact the original cut was too long.
