This will be her first time performing the single live since its release. The VMA’s will be taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.  The set will provide as Gaga’s live return since she had hip surgery earlier this past year in which she had to cancel her remaining ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour dates.  Earlier in the week, Gaga revealed that undergoing the hip surgery made her an improved dancer. She has also explained that her upcoming VMA performance is the most physically demanding show she has ever completed.

Some of the other big names that are set to perform at this year’s ceremony are Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, Robin Thicke, and Miley Cyrus.  Katy will also be giving the first live performance of her brand new single“Roar” as well as a never before heard song from Prism at a secret location in Brooklyn.

The MTV VMAs air tonight with the red carpet starting at 8PM followed by the ceremony at 9PM.
