Lamb Born With Human-esque Face In Russia

A lamb has been born with a human-like face in Russia. But with the news released on April 1st, can we really believe our eyes?

It’s obvious this is Russian Dictator President Vladimir Putin’s  first (at least visible) result of human transmutation. It’s like he was a fan of Hiromu Arakawa’s Fullmetal Alchemist and decided to try to make another Nina. (Cue every Fullmetal Alchemist fan screaming out in anguish as the memories of her horrible fate return.)

A lamb in the Russian town of Chirka was born with startlingly human-like features. It’s firmly in uncanny valley for me, and given the fact the news broke yesterday on April 1st, I first assumed it was an elaborate April Fools’ Day prank. To be honest, I’m still skeptical.

But the story came with a video. In it, it’s hard to argue that the lamb’s deformities are strangely reminiscent of a human’s features.

Some have claimed that the lamb is suffering from a cleft palate, and maybe that’s true. A vet in the village claims the mutation was due to an excess of the Vitamin A in the mother’s diet/system.

That’s all well and good. It’s still a living creature and has its rights and isn’t an abomination, et cetera et cetera.

But does anyone else think it looks startlingly like Kreacher from Harry Potter? That was my first thought. How odd.

What are your thoughts?
