How, just how does she do it, every time, delivering these songs which portray emotions, she makes it look so effortless.
If you were still wondering, I was talking about the queen herself, Lana Del Rey.
Two days ago, on Monday, 26th of May, the 27-year-old artist released her new song ahead of her album, Ultraviolence, called “Shades of Cool”. This song is said to be one of three live-sung songs at the Kimye wedding.
What is so great about this particular one you may ask? Well apart from it being in the likes of “Summertime Sadness” and “Born To Die”, it really grows on you. It starts off with a light guitar in a “calm before the storm” sort of way, and then it just hits you, with a jagged, jazzy, late ‘60s vibe. Take it from a long time Lanatic, this beautifully haunting song does not fail to impress. (Seriously though, I still have goosebumps.)
Her album drops on June 16th (U.K.) and June 17th(U.S.), and if you cant wait that long, just preorder it!
Now please excuse me while I go listen to it for the umpteenth time.
