You can’t always believe what you hear in the media! That’s what LeAnn Rimes is saying when it comes to her most recent album – Spitfire.
Rimes has been in the media quite a bit due to her visit to rehab back in August 2012 for anxiety and her ongoing feud with husband Eddie Cibrians ex-wife, Brandi Glanville.
LeAnn says that her most recent album serves as a response to all of the tabloids that are covering her life and can only be described as a more accurate portrayal of her life; it is about the real her.
She stated that she felt it was really important to be honest and open on this new album. While talking to Extra about it, she said, “It’s not like there’s LeAnn the celebrity and then LeAnn the person. It’s all kind of melded on this record and I’m proud of that.”
Spitfire features collaborations with many popular artists including guitarist Jeff Beck, Alison Krauss and Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas.
This was LeAnn’s 11th studio album and was officially released in the US in early June selling 10,798 copies in the first week and landing at #36 on the Billboard charts!
