With her brand-new single “Heartstrings” gaining her some critical acclaim, she has now delivered its music video.
Despite her stunning pop debut half a decade ago, the actress-turned-songstress is trying it all differently this time around. With the folk-influenced, alt-pop sound of “Heartstrings” she’s showing another side of herself. For the accompanying visuals, Leighton Meester is making use of her acting and modelling skills, as she serves a whole lot of emotions through her facial expressions and poses alone. It’s a simple clip with a low budget, but she looks stunning in it and it all works together in terms of affection.
“Heartstrings” is the first offering to be lifted from Leighton Meester’s long-awaited, debut studio album of the same title. The record is already on iTunes and you better give it a listen if you don’t want to miss out – especially if you’re disappointed by Taylor Swift going pop and want something more country-esque for your playlist!
