Daniel Handler rose to fame as Lemony Snicket with his epic, fan-favorite book series, A Series Of Unfortunate Events. Apparently, the man is all about giving back and is a huge supporter of Plannded Parenthood, as further proved by his latest donation.
Planned Parenthood has been a hot topic for a while, since the government have put cutting funds into discussion. The organization has faced its troubles for a while and even though it’s been receiving generous Lemony Snicket donations over the years, it now got a big and public one. Daniel Handler has now given away $1 million, along with his wife Lisa Brown who explained the donation by saying the Planned Parenthood clinic “has gone through a series of unfortunate events, and it felt right to make our support more public and more dramatic”. The well-known author took to his Twitter to share the news with the world.

There is no denying that the Planned Parenthood organization has been through a lot lately, as illegal activities have been suggested and proved wrong, while the Congress is further pushed to cut the $500 million it’s receiving annualy in federal funds. Hopefully, it will all work well in the end, as the clinic is very much needed and Lemony Snicket isn’t the only one aware and taking action.
