It’s finally a matter of days before everyone and their mother’s favorite medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy, returns to ABC with its twelfth season. As the premiere approaches, the network has now unveiled a brand-new trailer for the show, along with a fresh poster.
Dream-ruiner and series creator Shona Rhimes once again worked her magic and left Meredith devastated in the previous, eleventh season, after she had to endure her husband’s death. However, the new season will find her turning the page and being in a much “lighter” place. Her former B.F.F. Cristina Yang had one told her she was the sun, so it’s refreshing to see Mer half-smiling in the new poster, next to the line “Let the sun shine.”
The newly released trailer is only 20-second-long but finds the doctors getting back to work, Meredith waking up alone to find out a wall of her house going down, as well as one hell of a punch! ABC tells us to stop counting the seconds, as the season premiere is almost here. Grey’s Anatomy will be returning to our screens on September 24, but you can check out the trailer below to keep you going until this long week goes by.
