Lifehouse has been away from the spotlight for the last couple of years. However, the band is now preparing their comeback album for an early 2015 release and has now dropped a brand-new single, titled “Flight”.
If you were one of the fans expecting a more upbeat comeback track, then you’ll probably be left disappointed. You shouldn’t though, ’cause “Flight” is a brilliant slow tune. With simple piano keys driving the melody, the production goes on with the addition of a few strings and drums. It’s a beautiful rock kind of ballad that will definitely be a charm when Lifehouse performs it live in front of an audience.
The song arrived in the form of its accompanying lyric video, which is also something worth a look. Directed by Thomas Kirk, it follows actress TL Forsberg, as she walks around a gas station with a dining room and a motel to go by. While doing so, she expresses most of Lifehouse’s lyrics in sign language, which is a really beautiful thing to do.
