Lifetime Stages A Gossip Girl Reunion With Latest Film

Good news for you Gossip Girl fans out there – Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle are reuniting once again, this time for a Lifetime original movie.

The two, who had an on/off relationship throughout the six series of GG, have allegedly agreed to star in A Sister’s Nightmare, a film surrounding strained family relationships and all too real skeletons in the closet. This is great news for fans who appreciated the on-screen chemistry between Settle and Rutherford after Gossip Girl was cancelled 8 months ago due to low ratings.

Rutherford recently spoke to Clevver TV about the potential for a Gossip Girl movie: “Hopefully [the creators] have left it open for a great movie and we’ll all come back and have fun”. Fans are keen to see what happens after the shock revelation in the series finale, and evidently Kelly thinks “it would be so much fun” too.

A Sister’s Nightmare will premiere on September 7th 8pm ET on Lifetime.
