With only a week to go till the release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, fans are eager for anything to help make the final wait that much easier and New Zealand singer, Lorde, has come through for them.

Yesterday we reported on the release of a preview of her haunting cover of the Tears for Fears classic. Today she has released the full version of “Everybody Wants To Rule The World”, which appears on the film’s soundtrack.

Lorde’s version is a stripped back, morose cover of the upbeat, optimist hit from 1985 as recently seen covered by Darren Criss in Glee last season. This interpretation perfectly captures the mood and feeling of life in Panem.

Also featured on the soundtrack is Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Sia, Ellie Goulding and Christina Aguilera, among others. With a line up like that, it’s unsurprising that the film’s soundtrack is almost as much anticipated as the film itself.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack is released on November 18, with the film in cinemas from November 21.
