TV Line has revealed that Ben Feldman is joining the cast of The Mindy Project in season 2.
The actor, who is best known for playing Michael Ginsberg on Mad Men, is set to play a love interest for Mindy in the new series. TV Line reports that the romance will be of the “opposites-attract variety”. Executive-producer Jack Burditt said that ”He’s and arts and culture writer and a bit of a snob – he kind of looks down on Mindy’s taste. There’s an attraction there, but also a divide between them. She’ll say things, and she has no idea what he’s talking about. [We’ll see] how these two people who are very different can get along.”
Feldman will appear in multiple episodes and joins other guest stars including James Franco, Timothy Olyphant, Adam Pally, Kris Humphries and Glenn Howerton. He has also starred in Drop Dead Diva and Major Crimes.
The new season of The Mindy Project premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 9:30/8:30c on Fox.
