Macaulay Culkin and his band The Pizza Underground have given an all-new meaning to cover band. Culkin recently premiered the band’s new music video online in which their faces are covered with pizza’s, reports Digital Spy. What a fashion statement. Edgy, right?
The star’s new band performs Velvet Underground covers, but with a twist – they perform with Pizza’s on their face. In the music video premiered on Noisey’s YouTube channel, the Hollywood Star is seen doing double duty as he wears a Pizza strapped onto his face and plays the Kazoo. If that’s not considered being multi-talented, then we don’t know what is.
The creative and innovative music video (for lack of other adjectives) was directed by Adrian Arredondo.
The band boasts guitarist and vocalist Matt Colbourn, Phoebe Kreutz on the glockenspiel, Deenah Vollmer as a pizza boxist, Austin Kilham on the tambourine, and the legendary Macaulay Culkin on percussion and kazoo. Right, and he sings.
Just last month, The Pizza Underground released their very first pizza-themed demo that featured nine tracks.
