It was a typical mid November day for bus riders in New York City until superstar rapper Macklemore and his producer/DJ Ryan Lewis snuck onto the bus with a boom box. Before the bus arrived at the next stop, Lewis stood, boom box in hand, and the show began.

The music duo began clapping and after a brief moment of confusion, passengers caught on and joined in as Macklemore, the stage name of Ben Haggerty, began to perform their hit song “Can’t Hold Us” which was released in April, 2013.

It was later revealed that the music duo planned the stunt as a part of the “Music Unleashes Us” campaign for the Grammy Awards.
