Coming off their fantastic performance of ‘Same Love’ at the Grammys where they took part in the celebration of 33 live, same sex marriages, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have released a new PSA for USA network.
The premise is a mash-up featuring ‘Same Love’ and the new campaign called “Characters Unite”. USA markets its network with the slogan of “characters welcome” and this is the perfect blend of the two concepts.
Out.com reported the network as saying; “USA’s mutli-platform program aimed at combatting hate and discrimination in all its forms. 2014 Characters Unite month elements range from powerful celebrity-driven programs, to an ‘I Won’t Stand For…’ college RV tour making stops across the country, to the NFL Characters Unite documentary airing this Friday featuring stories of NFL stars (including Victor Cruz) as they mentor youth going thru challenging times.”
The video also features Matt Bomer, the openly gay actor of White Collar as well as Gina Torres from Suits. To watch the full PSA check out the video.
