Tragedy struck on November 1 as gunfire broke out at Los Angeles International Airport, where Mad Men was filming.
The seventh and final season of the popular drama was being filmed inside LAX when the gunfire started. Production of the show was suspended until further notice and the crew was evacuated for their safety, as they were in the neighbouring terminal.
Dustin Woods, a crew member on the hit TV show, was Tweeting the events of the situation as they were unfolding, but his Tweets have since been deleted. A representative from AMC has since confirmed that the show was filming at LAX during that time.
The suspected culprit behind the shooting was wounded and captured by police and has been named by the FBI as 23-year-old Paul Anthony Ciancia. Reports say that one person was killed and seven others were injured during the attack.
The final season of Mad Men has been confirmed to be split into two by AMC with seven episodes airing in Spring 2014 and the final seven in Spring 2015.
