We’ve all come to know and love Abby Lee! We’ve also come to notice that Maddie is easily a favorite. For the first time, Maddie speaks out about what it’s like to have the pressure.

“Sometimes it’s hard being one of Abby’s favorites, there is always so much pressure on me.” Maddie said in a Dance Mom‘s interview.

“It’s always Maddie can do this, Maddie can do that, and I’m over here saying, Y’know, I really can’t do all that!” Maddie jokes with her co stars Nia and Chole. She also adds, “I have to work so hard, I just feel so bad.”

Chole reminisces on when Maddie used to have to beg to dance because Abby was under the impression that Maddie didn’t have the passion.

Maddie adds “I’m at the studio, every second, minute, hour just practicing. I’ve had to beg to have a solo because she wouldn’t give it to me for three weeks because she thought I wasn’t dedicated.”

Nia, who was just casually sitting to the side, chimes in with “Now you know how I feel, but it was only for three weeks.”

Maddie jokingly adds, “I was telling my mom, now I know how Nia feels.”

I don’t know about you, but I always feel like Nia is left out. Of all the drama these Mom’s create, I think Nia and Holly are the ones that are the most down to earth and real!
