CBS confirmed on Friday that the queen of pop will perform at this year’s Grammys ceremony.
According to US Weekly, Madonna will team up with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis on the song “Same Love”, which is up for Song of the Year. A “surprise” performance by Jay Z and Beyonce was also revealed.
Madonna had a minor injury from dancing in high heels last Thursday, but she took instagram to let the world know she’s ready to perform:
“It’s official! I’m off my crutches and I’m looking for the perfect pair of heels to wear at the Grammys”.
Other performances for tonight’s ceremony include Green Day’s frontman Billie Joe Armstrong and country star Miranda Lambert performing a duet in tribute to Everly Brothers member Phil Everly, who passed away earlier this year.
Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and Juicy J were also added to the performers’ list, which already included Sara Bareilles, Carole King, Daft Punk, Kendrick Lamar, Imagine Dragons, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Nine Inch Nails, Queens of Stone Age, among others.
Julia Roberts, Steve Coogan, Jeremy Renner and Charlie Wilson were added to presenters’ schedule, while two-time Grammy winner LL Cool J returns as host.
Don’t miss the Grammys tonight at 8pm EST on CBS.
