Frozen Holiday Show Will Illuminate Magic Kingdom

A new nightly Frozen holiday show is premiering at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World next week with a castle lighting by Queen Elsa.

Queen Elsa is giving Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother the boot this holiday at the Magic Kingdom in order to bring her own Frozen holiday wish to the park.

The Frozen sisters, Anna and Elsa, are premiering a brand new holiday show on the Castle Forecourt Stage called A Frozen Holiday Wish with fan favorite characters Kristoff and Olaf also making an appearance. The show will culminate with the nightly “freezing” of Cinderella’s Castle.

The lighting of the holiday lights and decorations on the castle, traditionally the job of Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother, will be handled by Queen Elsa this season.

Walt Disney World has recently expanded the amount of Frozen-themed attractions and entertainment because of the film’s popularity and success. Frozen Summer of Fun took over Hollywood Studios park this summer while Maelstrom in Epcot is receiving a face-lift to make way for a new Frozen-themed ride in 2016.

The new Frozen holiday wish show starts next week at the Magic Kingdom and runs nightly through December 31, 2014.
