I’m surprised the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC didn’t burst into flames with all the handsome, barely-dressed men present on Saturday (June 28) during Broadway Bares, the annual charity event held for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
James Franco, Alex Minsky, Alan Cumming, and other celebrities were on hand to strip for a good cause, raising a whopping $1,386,105.
The theme of the night was “Broadway Bares: Rock Hard!”, where dance companies paid homage to the most memorable moments in rock music, including tributes to artists like Pink and Aerosmith. The participants performed in front of an audience of 5,000.
In the 24 times this event has been held, a total of $12.6 million has been raised for Broadway Cares.
