Fantasy took a bizarre and dangerous leap into reality in Katy, Texas after a man was stabbed with a replica of the Master Sword from the Legend Of Zelda video game series.

Sword wielder Eugene Thompson recounted the strange saga, which resulted from a domestic dispute.  Allegedly, Thompson’s girlfriend called her ex-husband for help after she and Thompson got into an argument.  When the ex arrived, Thompson drew the sword to defend himself.

After yelling at the ex-husband to go away, Thompson claimed his opponent continued to approach him, “and he just walked right into the point.  I don’t know if he thought it was a toy.”

The incident yielded another video game-esque moment when the ex-husband smashed a flower pot over Thompson’s head.

The victim is now recovering in the hospital.  It is unknown if authorities will press charges or alert Link to the legendary weapon’s new whereabouts.
