Neverland is about to get even more eerie and frightening this season as it was announced today that Marilyn Manson was joining the cast of Once Upon a Time. Manson has been cast to voice the Shadow.
The Shadow has been around since the end of season 2 and is known for kidnapping young boys and stealing souls. Show creators and executive producers Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz told Rolling Stone of the casting, “We’ve always been enormous fans of Marilyn Manson. We wanted to cast someone with the vocal ability to make our skin crawl.” The goth rocker sure seems like the man for the job.
Manson will be making his debut on the show during the eighth episode set to air in mid-November.
So far on the third season of Once Upon a Time we’ve watched the title characters explore the dark world of Neverland searching for Henry who has been captured by the “demon” that is Peter Pan. Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8/7c on ABC.
