Marisa Tomei of great films like My Cousin Vinny is coming to season 2 of Fox’s hit Empire.
She is cast as a lesbian billionaire. According to Deadline, she’ll play Mimi Whiteman, “a lover of hip hop music, social trends, high-end fashion and beautiful women.”
Empire will return on September 23rd!
Tomei is a great addition to an already strong cast. I hope they use her to her potential and don’t waste such talent on a small role. But she’s slated for multiple episodes, which is a great sign. Tomei doesn’t join TV shows very often, as the last time was for FX’s hit, Rescue Me, starring Dennis Leary.
Tomei joins the growing list of amazing guest stars including Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, and Lenny Kravitz.
