“Married… With Children” Might Be Next ’90s Sitcom Reboot

It’s all happening! First The X-Files, then Twin Peaks and Full House! It’s just a reboot rumor, but “Married… With Children” could be next.

Step back Tanners, you might not be the only 90’s TV family to get a spinoff. The antiheroes of sitcom families and main focal point of 11 successful seasons of Married… With Children, The Bundy family could be gracing our televisions again soon.

David Faustino, best known as Bud Bundy on the hit series, dropped the news at the premiere of the new Vacation movie which stars his on-screen sister, Christina Applegate.

He hinted that the show would indeed be a spinoff focusing more on his now grown-up life as a Bundy. He mentioned that the cast making up his family have all expressed interest in reprising their roles including Ed O’Neill and Katey Sagal, who each seem to have found success in other family related sitcoms since Married… With Children ended including O’Neill’s incredibly popular show, Modern Family. Sagal was in 8 Simple Rules, as well as Sons Of Anarchy.

While Faustino mentioned it is just an idea at the moment with a few legal hurdles to jump before shoot a pilot, he is very hopeful it could work out. Many spin-off shows have had great success lately including Disney’s Girl Meets World which is already in a second season. When news broke about Netflix bring Fuller House to life, fans already started counting down the days. X-Files and Twin Peaks are also making headlines banking on our nostalgia to rekindle a beloved fanbase.

As someone who enjoyed the off beat charm that came along with this middle class family of misfits, if the show comes to be you can bet I’ll be watching the pilot with a plate of bon bons and one hand tucked under my belt.

What are your thoughts on bringing back the 90’s popular sitcoms? Let us know!
