Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is about to get a warrior princess! Marvel has announced that Lucy Lawless will be joining the cast of the ABC series for its second season.
Lawless is best known as the titlular character from the popular ’90s Fantasy series, Xena. The New Zealand born actress has also appeared in Parks and Recreation, the Spartacus TV mini series, and the reboot of Battlestar Galactica.
In typical Marvel form, the company hasn’t announced any details about Lawless’ character or how often she will appear. This is Lucy Lawless we’re talking about, though, so even if her role isn’t action-based, she’s still going to be kicking ass!
Check out the season two premiere of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Tuesday, September 23 on ABC.
