Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is continuing their trend of pulling in ancillary characters from the Marvel comic universe to serve as guest or recurring characters on the show. We’ve already seen Deathlok, Sif, Lorelei, and Victoria Hand make appearances, and now Colonel Glenn Talbot will be joining the ranks.

Comic fans will know Talbot as the military commander notorious for chasing The Hulk and ultimately exposing the green rage monster’s identity as Bruce Banner. The character, played by Josh Lucas, also made an appearance in the first Hulk movie.

For Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, the role will go to Adrian Pasdar, most well-known for his work in the series Heroes. And even though you might not know his face, Marvel super fans will definitely recognize Pasdar’s voice! The actor has played major characters such as Iron Man and Captain America in various Marvel animated properties.

How the addition of Talbot’s character will tie in to the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D plotline remains to be seen, but given Marvel’s history of reserving the major players for the big screen, don’t expect The Hulk himself to be smashing anything on the show any time soon.

Are you an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D fan? Is so, what characters from the comics would you like to see pop up on the show? Let us know in the comments!
