Even though 2013 was a massively successful year for Mary Lambert, in which “Same Love”, co-written by Lambert, went double platinum in the United States; she released a book of poetry titled 500 Tips for Fat Girls; released her debut major label E.P Welcome to the Age of My Body; and has started working on her debut album, things have not always been smooth running for 25-year-old Seattle based singer-songwriter.
Lambert is often open in discussing her early childhood troubles and dark past, which include sexual abuse, body image problems, bipolar disorder, and her sexuality.
After coming out as a lesbian at age seventeen, she has recently found love in former The Voice contestant Michelle Chamuel. The pair have been dating for a while now, but both seam to be focused on their careers at the moment, and will wait a little longer to settle down with each other.
The staff at Buzzfeed today has put together a list of Mary’s tip on how to never have a sucky day. They include getting out of bed even when it hurts, dancing to Robyn in your underwear, and working out how you want to.
