I have nothing against Jeremy Renner — I’ll even admit that his Hawkeye was surprisingly warm in Avengers: Age of Ultron — but he’s just not Jason Bourne. In the interest of full disclosure, I never watched Renner’s Bourne film. I don’t even know if he was supposed to be Jason Bourne or not. But he’s not. He’s just not.
Matt Damon, however, is Jason Bourne, and he is officially stepping into the role again. While it was announced last year that Damon would be back, I think more than a few of us reacted with ‘I’ll believe it when I see it.’ Get ready to believe, guys, because we have our first real look at Damon back in Bourne’s boots.
