Glee’s Matthew Morrison has revealed that he hopes that Kurt Hummel and Blaine Anderson would stay away from the altar.
The fourth season of the musical dramedy ended with Blaine (Darren Criss) holding a ring box behind his back with the intent on proposing to Kurt (Chris Colfer).
Matthew Morrison objects to a union between the two characters. It’s not due to sexual orientation; rather it’s due to age.
”I don’t think anybody should get married that young,” Morrison said to Digital Spy. “It’s not a gay or a straight thing, it’s just being young, too young. I don’t think anyone should get married until they’re in their 30s. Probably the most growth you’ll ever have in your life [is in] high school and your 20s, because you’re kind of living on your own for the first time. There is so much exploration to do and self-exploration and I don’t think anyone should be getting married that young.”
He also talks about his character’s (Will Schuester) own relationship and marriage to Emma (Jayma Mays). He said that after the couple’s previous “rocky” relationship that their marriage will be a happy one.
He even hints at the hope that there will be a pitter patter of curly haired ginger babies in the Schuester-Pillsbury household.
“His students have always been his children so I think it would be kind of nice to see Emma pregnant and they can maybe have some little ginger babies.”
We would love to see some little curly haired ginger babies with a set of pipes on them, if the parents are any indication.
