Max Landis Has $100 To Market His New Film, Me Him Her

Max Landis markets his directorial debut, a comedy entitled Me Him Her that will hit theatres and on demand on March 11, with only $100 and ingenuity.

Over two years ago, Max Landis made his directorial debut on a film titled Me Him Her. The comedy film, also written by Landis, is about emotions, sexuality, entitlement, and the quarter life crisis. An actor working in Los Angeles discovers he is gay and decides to come out. Looking for support he tells his goofball best friend, who outs him to the paparazzi accidentally.

If writing and directing Me Him Her was not enough responsibility already, Landis was informed he will also be in charge of marketing the film. After all, he has a habit of going viral with the shorts he makes (e.g. “The Slap“), but more often for the things he says online. His budget: one hundred dollars. Landis brought in the cast of the film and has begun making “viral” clips for YouTube to promote the film.

In this first clip, Landis explains the film’s premise and the situation he has been put in. Watch Max Landis rant with his typical brand of humor and see a few clips from the film.

If you found that first clip a little odd, what until you see the next strange clip they put together. In the scene, a toddler eats chips from a bag, completely ignoring Max Landis who is trying to describe Me Him Her to him. You have to see what this adorable child does when he runs out of chips. Watch the clip below.

Me Him Her will be released on March 11 in theaters and on demand. On demand services distributing the film include iTunes, Amazon Video, XBOX, PlayStation, Google Play, and VUDU. Make sure you don’t miss out on all the hilarity and weirdness to come by subscribing to Landis’ YouTube channel, uptomyknees. Also, go see Me Him Her when it comes out!
