McDonalds has cast its bid into the fast food battles by promising a free, 12-ounce cup of coffee for every customer for the next two weeks. This is in an effort to promote customers’ continual purchase of their breakfast menu items.
They hope this campaign will drive away business from Taco Bell, who have become one of McDonald’s biggest competitors since they unveiled their own breakfast menu.
In hopes of keeping its top tier position, McDonalds recently announced that they may possibly extend their breakfast serving times from 10:30am to a later time in the day.
While it is still unknown whether or not McDonalds will be impacted by this decision, there will be lots of people going in for their free cup of coffee. Because who doesn’t want free coffee?
