First he delivers the greatest groom’s speech ever, now Mcfly’s Tom Fletcher has announced he and wife Giovanna Fletcher are expecting their first child in a special Halloween themed video.
The couple, who were married last year, announced their news in a special Halloween themed home video, were they are carving pumpkins. The video includes the caption: “Sometimes the best way to say something is with a pumpkin…and a song.” The pair reveals four carved pumpkins that say, “We’re having a baby.” The video ends with a picture of the ultrasound with the caption “Arriving 2014.”
The Mcfly singer tweeted the link to the video, saying, “Me and @MrsGiFetcher have some rather exciting news to share with you…” He later added, “Thank you very much for all the lovely messages. We couldn’t hide it any longer…literally! ;).”
Tweets of congratulations have been pouring in since the video was released; including one from band mate Harry Judd, who said, “Congratulations Tom & Gi.” The soon-to-be new mommy’s brother, TOWIE star Mario, also tweeted saying, “Yay Uncle Mario :)…Congratulations to my sister @MrsGiFletcher and @tommcfly…Cannot wait! So happy.”
The couple met at the tender age of 13 at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and got engaged in 2011. Tom is the first member of Mcfly to become a father. The band recently unveiled their latest single, “Love Is on the Radio,” which will be released on November 24.
