Martin Luther King Day was this past week, and while many honored one of America’s heroes, there was at least one incident that had many people crying foul.

A new online magazine, called Buro 24/7, published an article on Russian socialite and Garage Magazine Editor-In-Chief, Dasha Zhukova, and the image that was chosen for the feature was of Dasha sitting atop a “black woman bondage chair,” reports Instinct Magazine.

The Belfast Telegraph said that after many were accusing the mag of racism, “Buro 24/7 removed the image and replaced it with a cropped version where only the legs were visible.”

Magazine Editor Miroslava Duma issued an apology following the backlash of the photo stating, “We are against racism or gender inequality or anything that infringes upon anyone’s rights. We love, respect and look up to people regardless of their race, gender or social status.”

“I utterly abhor racism, and would like to apologize to anyone who has been offended by this image,” she concluded.
