Mean Girls premiered in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams. The movie soared into the hearts of millions and is probably considered a cult classic. The movie followed home-schooled Cady, as she tried to fit in with the popular girls called ‘The Plastics’. Coming soon it’ll be your chance to do it, too, because the Mean Girls mobile game is on its way!
The game will take place after the events of the film and will allow users a “free to play” experience. The game will come out later this year.
“In the game, players will enroll in a fictional high school as seniors and interact with characters from the film. You, as a user, make choices that can affect the storyline.”
This is different from other games based on movies where your choices directly change how the story plays out. You pick how they dress and how they interact with the characters. According to The Hollywood Reporter the game story will be written by Kristen Smith of 10 Things I Hate About You.
I think this game is going to be “fetch” and it will be a large success!
