Who doesn’t need a good dose of Melissa McCarthy in their life from time to time? I fell in love with the funny lady from The Heat when she was playing the hilarious sidekick Sooki to Lauren Graham’s Lorelei in Gilmore Girls.
The Oscar nominee for her role in the hit comedy Bridesmaids, is heading to the silver screen once again with an all-star cast in Tammy. Her signature facial expressions abound in what looks to be another hilarious Mc-comedy. Paper bag over head and in hand, McCarthy is seen robbing a burger join in the trailer that was just released by New Line.
According to Variety, “‘Tammy follows a women who, after losing her job and learning that her husband has been unfaithful, hits the road with her profane, hard-drinking grandmother (played by Sarandon). McCarthy and Falcone co-wrote the script.”
The film also stars Susan Sarandon and Allison Janney, and will be directed by McCarthy and her husband, Ben Falcone (who also starred in Bridesmaids!) The film opens on July 2, so get excited!
