Miguel has never really been absent from the scene for long, but he last released an album a couple of years ago. Despite being here and there with the last singles of the record and a few collaborations, he has now delivered some brand-new music, by dropping a 3-track EP out of nowhere.

With the set titled nwa.hollywooddreams.coffee., the crooner took to his Soundcloud account to upload all three tunes. The song titles are of course “nwa”, “hollywooddreams” and “coffee”, with the first one featuring Kurupt. Sonically, you’ll hear more live instruments in the productions, but the style is more or less Miguel’s regular urban crooning with a few electronic elements thrown in the mix.

What can be assumed is that the EP serves as a prodecesor for Miguel’s upcoming, third studio album. What we know about the latter is that he’s been working on it for quite a while now, with DJ Premier being involved in the process. The record will serve as a follow-up to 2012’s Kaleidoscope Dreamand is expected to drop sometime in 2015.
