MIKA Premieres New Single, ‘Talk About You’

With a fresh era for his fourth studio album on the way, MIKA has returned to the scene with a brand-new single, titled “Talk About You”.

Even though it seemed like the comeback was already in place, MIKA hasn’t dropped a proper single since last summer. With an all-new era currently on the way though, the singer has now made a grand return with a fresh tune, titled “Talk About You”.

The track is driven by a thumping drum beat throughout, with the required upbeat instrumentation surrounding his vocals. The lovesong finds MIKA singing about expressing his feelings for his beloved one with words forever. As always, it’s extremely catchy and radio-friendly, with a repetitive chorus and some guitar-pop thrown in the mix of the production. This time around though, the singer doesn’t make use of his significant falsetto and those high notes that he’s known for. All in all, the track is everything it should be and what you would expect from him, only slightly different.

Even though “Talk About You” is the second sample to be lifted from the singer’s forthcoming, as-yet-untitled studio album, it could very well serve as the lead single as well. Early last summer, MIKA returned to the scene with “Boum Boum Boum”, but it could end up being just a buzz single. His fourth record, expected to drop later this year, will be a follow-up to 2012′s The Origin Of Love. Take a listen to the new tune below.
