Mikey Wax is an up and coming, American-based musician with lots of talents. During one of his latest covers, he got to create a mash-up of two of today’s biggest hits, Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” and Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass”.
Ending up with a track titled “All About That Shake”, he’s doing a great job combining the two super-catchy tunes into one. With a different production from both, he makes a mix ‘n’ match kind of thing with them, exchanging verses from one an other and singing the choruses here and there. Accompanied by a live band, he sounds great while doing so and manages to create a great pop renditon overall.
The visuals is also something not to miss. Apart from the scenes during which he is simply performing with his guys, he’s managing to bring in the laughs. Shaking left and right, making silly facial expressions and serving pure weirdness at bits, he’s done an incredible job to make sure he gets the attention with his mash-up. In addition to that, he’s playing a female bottom-like kind of thing indtead of drums!
