If you’d told us five years ago that we would be seeing these two collaborate, we probably would’ve scoffed into our Hannah Montana wigs… But it’s happening guys! And it will probably be awesome.

Miley Cyrus and Kanye West are pairing up to remix Kanye’s track, “Black Skinhead”. MTV got wind of this first, thanks to producer Mike Will Made It, who told them that the collaboration began not long after her VMA twerk-a-thon ended.

“We went to the studio with Kanye, so we went right back to work [after the VMAs]. We watched the VMAs a little bit then went straight to the studio, really… We are working on [“Black Skinhead”] and it’s about done. We’re touching the beat up a little bit. It sound crazy.”

It turns out that Kanye has nothing but admiration for Miley’s highly controversial duet with Robin Thicke. “He told her that she did right, too”, Mike Will informed MTV. “[Kanye] is somebody who understands it. People that understand it aren’t gonna really have anything too negative to say about the performance… She coulda did much worse. I felt like the performance was great. She’s 20 years old and she’s having a great time. And her song is double platinum,” he pointed out. “She’s successful, so they’re gonna say anything about her, man.”
